Bookcase Makeover ~ BEFORE and AFTER

Recently, I moved into a new booth at the antique mall.

It's so cute! I remember when the former dealers were
hanging up the doors on the wall...so cool!
Mine now! LOL!
 I put some repainted furniture pieces in it, which had sold
right away resulting in stuff on the floor...
I had a back-up bookcase that I got from my
friend via a furniture swap...but, this brown
and orange didn't quite go with the shabby-ish vibe of the booth.

My friend's booth was very retro 1970's Brady Bunch kitchen style
that was filled with vintage Tupperware and Pyrex.
I was going to paint it shabby white right in my booth, instead of dragging it home...
{DH wouldn't be very thrilled with more furniture piles in the garage anyways!}
So, I thought I would cover up the orange with PAPER!!!

I guess I thought gluing paper would take
LESS time than painting the whole thing...

It took OVER 3 hours to glue paper {ephemera}
to this piece of furniture...
I also added German Dresden Trim to the edge.
I like it!

I didn't bring enough paper,
so I started using paper that I sell in my booth...LOL!
I'm glad I wore latex gloves or I would had been peeling
inked glue off my hands for the rest of the day...

Ta-da!

It looks so much better and blends in nicer
with the booth...♥

Thanks for stopping by
and checking out my BEFORE and AFTER
bookcase makeover...
