Ideas for Scrabble Tiles

I love Scrabble tiles...
I have a vintage suitcase filled with old ones
and new ones that I have found over the years.

It's getting harder to find them at
yard sales and thrift stores lately
because they are so popular...

I have seen the letter tiles
made into creative jewelry pieces, frames,
ornaments, and drink coasters...

There are so many possibilities and ideas
for re-using Scrabble letters...

I just love altering them!
I like to spray them with ink and add glitter or
images to them.
Sometimes, I stamp the wooden letter holders too...

My friend Dawn bought this Santa word display,
before it made it to the display...LOL!

Merry Scrabble words...

The wood letter holders ink up very nicely...

Scrabble letters for Halloween...

I have a small batch of letters organized in a craft storage
container to find the letters that I need...

Scrabble tiles look great on stamped chipboard too!

I love Scrabble tiles! ♥

What have you created with Scrabble letter tiles?

Many thanks for stopping by!

  6. I love Scrabble tiles, too! I use them all the time. I found a way to double the tiles you have without spending a dime. For example, I only have two "Y"s and I needed three instead of using the blank tile to represent the Y, I made a color copy of the Y and used mod podge to glue it onto the back of another tile. Now I have two letters on one tile. The color copied one looks so real! I have a tutorial on how to do this on my blog. I love what you did with your tiles! They are amazing!

  7. Love the craft storage container idea for the tiles!.. I admit I have mine in a huge jar, and it can be a pain in the tushy just to find one specific letter when I want one! Thanks for sharing this idea, and have a great weekend! ~tina
