Free Vintage Digital Stamp - Big Wigs

Free Vintage Digital Stamp

How uncomfortable do these
wig head pieces look?

During the late 18th century,
wigs became quite exaggerated
and adorned with embellishments.

Sometimes a wire frame was
used to help maintain
the height of the wig.

I wonder what they did
on windy days...

Wonderful for digital art!

FREE Vintage Image - Marie Antoinette

Did you know that
Maria Antonia Josepha Johanna
(aka Marie Antoinette)
was Austrian, not French...

{Click to download/save jpg image...}

There is no evidence that suggests
that Marie Antoinette
ever really said, "let them eat cake!"

"Qu'ils mangent de la brioche!"
~~~
Don't you just love these images - so pretty!
Aren't you glad that powdered wigs
never made a come back?
On second thought,
I'd probably save a ton of money on hair color...
{Click to download/save jpg image...}
~~~

She was in very poor health
around the time that she met her destiny
with the ill-fated guillotine...
circa 1793.

She was only 37...

Marie Antoinette is still a pop-culture icon.

FREE Vintage Digi Stamp - 18th Century French

One of my other favorite
fashion periods is
circa 18th century...

Everyone looked
like Marie Antoinette.

Can you imagine
having to balance
a giant elaborate wig
on your head all day?

What can you do with this digital stamp?

The line details are quite amazing!

There aren't a lot of areas available
for coloring this image,
but it certainly didn't stop me from
adding just a hint of color...

Pink and blue
seem like a nice color choice,
so I added that to
the {Robe de l’Anglaise} gown
with Copic markers...

Maybe just a hint of Stickles
glitter glue to accent the
random floating
chandelier...

{Which I added after I took the photo}

This exquisite image would make
a nice greeting card
or ATC (Artist Trading Card)
or maybe part of a
creative scrapbook layout.

What will you create with this digital stamp?
