I love Scrabble tiles...
I have a vintage suitcase filled with old ones
and new ones that I have found over the years.
It's getting harder to find them at
yard sales and thrift stores lately
because they are so popular...
I have seen the letter tiles
made into creative jewelry pieces, frames,
ornaments, and drink coasters...
ornaments, and drink coasters...
There are so many possibilities and ideas
for re-using Scrabble letters...
for re-using Scrabble letters...
I just love altering them!
I like to spray them with ink and add glitter or
images to them.
Sometimes, I stamp the wooden letter holders too...
My friend Dawn bought this Santa word display,

I have a small batch of letters organized in a craft storage
container to find the letters that I need...

ReplyDeleteLOVE your idea Pamela!!! :) Our son has a bunch of old games...although, I think he'd get after me if I raided them!!!!!! LOL :) LOVE to see the ideas you come up with!!!!!!!!! THANKS FOR SHOWING US!!!!!!!!!!!:)
ReplyDeleteI love Scrabble tiles, too! I use them all the time. I found a way to double the tiles you have without spending a dime. For example, I only have two "Y"s and I needed three instead of using the blank tile to represent the Y, I made a color copy of the Y and used mod podge to glue it onto the back of another tile. Now I have two letters on one tile. The color copied one looks so real! I have a tutorial on how to do this on my blog. I love what you did with your tiles! They are amazing!
ReplyDeleteLove the craft storage container idea for the tiles!.. I admit I have mine in a huge jar, and it can be a pain in the tushy just to find one specific letter when I want one! Thanks for sharing this idea, and have a great weekend! ~tina
