Free Vintage Image - 1940's Stocking Legs

Fabulous Vintage image
circa 1940's stocking legs.

Did you realize that just forty years
earlier, women were wearing
long dresses and skirts to
cover their legs?

It wasn't even until the Edwardian
era that ladies started to show
some ankle.

Vintage images of stocking legs
are still very popular.

  1. Three pairs for $1.42...gotta love that! lol I'd rather wear the long skirts though, and lots of them, in our -40 C temperatures! haha Thanks, Pamela! :o)

  2. Great image for vintage cards. Thank you so much for sharing your time and images with us.

  3. I've just downloaded a lot of images again, I did thank you before, I just realised I hadn't clicked before I saved them - doh!

  6. Gone are the days when my legs used to look like that Pamela, lol! Tis a distant memory! But then I was quite the athlete then until 2 spine operations put a stop to all that. This is a brilliant image, thank you. Lee x

  7. Oh this would be perfect for a good luck card!

"Good luck on your _________. I've got my legs crossed for you!" Or something along those lines...
Love it, thank you! Snagging the girl with horn as well. You're right, you just never know!

  8. Hard to believe we ever wore those things-had to have garter belts! Yuck! Thanks so much.

  9. I too like the longer skirts!!!!!! Little House On The Prairie type! That era has ALWAYS been attractive to me for some reason! I know that sounds ODD, but it just does! LOL Thanks for the digi images! CUTE idea from Lisa M! :) LOVE the little girl too!!!! She's just SWEET! :)

  11. Thank you for this awesome vintage image. It was so good pantyhose came along. I still can't get use to the bare leg look.
